We help the largest 1% of Shopify stores to grow their revenue and AOV through product recommendations.
Our need to hire
Our founder has done all the marketing so far. This consists of optimizing our Shopify app store listing (80% of our leads) and setting up agency partnerships (20% of our leads).
We need someone to come in, upgrade our existing channels and turn them into a well oiled machine. The goal of this role is to double our leads every 6 months. Our customers are large Shopify brands ($3m -$150m/yr in revenue). We want to open up new channels and improve the ones that already work. We haven't run any ads, or done any email marketing.
What we’re looking for
- Background in marketing saas to Shopify merchants
- Knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem and apps
- Strong experience with running marketing experiments independently from start to finish and scaling up the ones that work
- Knowing how to execute this yourself is key. The founder will help you, but you're the pilot and will execute your own plans
- A ‘Get Stuff Done’ mentality and ability to be proactive, see problems and work through them independently
- Strong technical English skills, both written and spoken
- Async and remote work at a profitable company, that grows 100% year over year. No growth at all costs.
The challenges ahead
- Double leads every 6 months: Build the machine that brings in new customers in our existing and new acquisition channels
- Build a brand: Make merchants see and recognize UpsellPlus everywhere they go, without VC level budgets
- AI first: We invest heavily in AI tooling and internal dashboards. Knowledge of AI and how to apply to marketing is a plus.

- Intro call: An initial video call with our founder
- Experience deep dive: Questions about your previous work (written)
- Team call: Talk to other members of the team and share your insights on a challenge we're having
- References: We talk to 2-3 people that you worked with before

- Work Schedule: Flexible
- Compensation: We don't have a massive budget to pay huge salaries at the moment. We can offer a clear base salary with a bonus system based on results.
